The
project on "Mitigation of Geo-hazards" is carried out be Indonesian
and German organizations under the auspieces of the German International Cooperation,
financed by the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit
und Entwicklung (BMZ
- German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development).
Project-partner on the Indonesian side is the Directorate
General for Geology and Mineral Resources with its Directorates on Geological
and Mining Area Environment , Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation,
Marine Geology and the Geological Research and Development Corporation. The
German side is represented by the Bundesanstalt
für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR - Federal Institute for
Geosciences and Natural Resources).
The project is carried out in cooperation with the German-Indonesian Technical
Cooperation project on "Civil-Society and Inter-Municipal Cooperation
for better Urban Services - Urban Quality" carried out by the Indonesian
Ministry of Home Affairs and the Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
DGGMR

Jenderal Geologi dan Sumber Daya Mineral - DJGSM; Ind. Name)
The Directorate General of Geology and Mineral Resources is the central institution
for assessing and evaluating the physical potential of Indonesian's geologic
setting. Two of its five subdirectories, namely the Directorate of Geological
and Mining Area Environment and the Directorate of Volcanology and Geological
Hazard Mitigation, are very much focused on the mitigation of Georisks.
BGR
The
Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR - Federal
Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources) is the central German
institution for International Cooperation in the field of geosciences. Since
more than 40 years BGR is partner of developing countries. During this time,
more than 400 projects have been carried out in almost every developing country.
With the Indonesian Directorate General of Geology and Mineral Resources BGR
is cooperating since the mid 80s in the fields of environmental geology, hydrogeology
and geological information for landuse planning.
GTZ
The
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) is a government-owned
corporation for International Cooperation with worldwide partners. GTZ is
active in more than 130 partner countries. Actually GTZ is supporting 2700
development projects and programs in all development sectors.
