The organisers of the conference invite all persons that are active in geothermal resources exploration, development and utilization to submit abstracts, extended abstracts, oral presentations, poster presentations as well as full papers. Professionals from Africa are particularly encouraged to make contributions. Contributions may be selected for presentation in technical or poster sessions. This will be based mainly on technical considerations: subject matter suitability, professional standards of writing and quality of illustrations as well as on the need to develop a balanced conference program.

Abstracts, extended abstracts, oral presentations in PowerPoint and posters should be submitted in electronic format for reproduction and distribution to participants, with a bound abstract volume, at registration on conference opening day.
The absolute deadline for the submission of the above is September 20, 2006.

We strongly encourage scientists, engineers and other professionals involved in geothermal resources exploration, development and utilization, particularly in Africa, to submit full papers for publication in the conference proceedings. The organizers will endeavor to have selected papers published in international journals, such as the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research.
Full papers may be submitted at the conference or by January 31, 2007 at the latest.

Slide, transparency and LCD projectors will be available for oral presentations. A large floor space will be available in the lobby of the conference center for participants who wish to display posters and we encourage the exploitation of this opportunity.
